Good Vet Visit!

Jazzy went to vet for the first time here (she had been before with her previous owner). We had Dr. Yvonne Hoffman at the Burlington Pet Hospital, right up the road. She said that Jazzy is a good pick-she has a good disposition and her facial structure is excellent. She said she will keep an eye on Jazzy's nasal passages, since she is a pug nose breed, but it looks good now. For the symptoms, she said she figured Jazzy had parasites, but the fecal sample tested fine. The vet said that Jazzy can still have a parasite though, since they took just a small sample to look at. She found Jazzy's skin/hair to be extra dry, which can also be caused by the parasites OR just be her type. So, she gave us Albon liquid to administer with a syringe daily for about 12 days. It is a yellow substance, and I figured Jazzy would fight us-but she actually licked it all up! The vet also gave us a soap free shampoo that will treat the skin/hair (and it was a free 8 oz. sample, so she wasn't just trying to sell us something). She weighted 5.5 pounds and we go back in 2 weeks for shots.
