8 Weeks Old-Progress!
Jazzy is now 8 weeks old (6.5 pounds), and we are having fun seeing the progress she is making. Nighttime is not near the issue it was just a couple of days ago. She is getting up twice a night to go potty, and then she goes back to sleep (with a little coaching).
She can hold things with her front paws, and she likes to chase tennis balls and bring them back to us. Not bad for 8 weeks old! She can walk up stairs with help, but is still too afraid to go downstairs.
When we take her to our backyard, she enjoys jumping up and over and through various obstacles-real cute! I think she is cut out for learning the doggy agility course. Perhaps we will set one up in our backyard-would be cheaper than getting cable this summer when reruns are on the major networks!
Something else she likes to do is play with the spring-like door-stops with the rubber tips on them, that go "boooiing" when you hit them. She loves to make that sound!
Jazzy is in the "chewing" stage, so we try to keep her equipped with rawhides and toys to chew on rather than our hands and other things!
Today, I took her out for a short walk with her collar and leash. She thinks part of the deal is for HER to hold the leash in her mouth! She has a lot of learning to do!
